My garden is humongous and the amount my family harvests is vast. The veggies usually end up in a large metal bowl on our Granite Island counter where fruit flies of many denominations feast and hover on our stuff. We tried all kinds of stuff, you can use fly tape, note regular tape doesn’t work. We tried a Petri dish of juice. The secret we found was apple cider and dish soap. Put this in a dish and where your fruit flies chill and you’ll soon have a bowl of flies. Tip: slosh the liquid on the sides so ones that land on the inside walls can’t get away!
